~Finally. The end of June

More experiments.  Sugar crystals.  They took one week to grow and then we pulled them out and ate them.  Yummy!

Noah finished his Wolf badge for cub scouts.  I see an Eagle Scout in our future.  Go Noah!  He's so cute.

The garden is coming along.

The chickens and turkey are also growing nicely.  We also acquired/got/received (can't come up with the right word) some other chickens.  A family in the ward was done with their chicken experience.  At the end of it all, we ended up with 6 extra chickens, taking the total to 10 chickens and 1 turkey.  One morning Brother Stapp just showed up and dropped them off.  Surprise! Hmmmmm.... The boys have fun finding eggs though and Adam enjoys eating them.  It's actually turned out to be quite the family bonding experience.

Simon the chicken whisperer.  Who knew he'd be so good with chickens.  The turkey however, hates Simon and picks on him all the time.  :(  Mean old turkey.

More fun at Chena Lakes.

We have realized that Simon is a borderline-hoarder.  Heaven help me!  One day I went to change his sheets (usually he strips his bed and makes it) and I found this.  GRODY!!  What is all this!?!  So when I was saying to him, "find a special place for your stuff or it's going in the trash..." this was his special place.  Another fun day being a mom.

~June continued to be a busy month

Every other week or so I try to make bread.  On this particular day Monkey Bread sounded good.  So I used Sister Doran's recipe and it turned out great.  The boys thought it was really fun too.  At the end of it all Levi was just so tired!  For some odd reason I think it's so cute when they fall asleep in their high chair.  I am refusing to ignore that fact that I missed the cues that he actually was super tired.  ;)

My climber, hurt once again.  He climbed on the back of our counter-height tablechair and it fell backwards on him.  The picture doesn't look too bad, but it had me worried.

Why does this kid feel he needs to give his mother a heart attack every other day!?!

Father's Day was fun.  Adam is always such a good sport with the homemade gifts.  King Dad!

Everyday an adventure.  Mentos and soda fountains.  The first one was a dud, but the other ones were great.  I didn't get pictures of those. :(

ARG!!! Tooty-pants did it again.  He climbed on the chair and it fell backwards on him AGAIN!  This time hurting his ear.  WHY I ask....WHY!!  I feel like such a bad mom.  Seriously I turn around for one second and he's up on the table, the counter, the back of the couch.  I hope his love for climbing makes him some money someday, because it's quite painful and makes his mom feel really bad.

Another joy of motherhood.  I thought I could jump in the shower real quick while everyone was quietly watching a movie.  Nope.  There's always a price to pay.  This day, it was my glasses.

Another fun day in June was when my brakes went out on my way home from Fred Meyers.  For weeks I had told Adam that the brakes needed work, but he's always so busy.  Anyway, scared the crap out of me when I realized I couldn't stop.  I haven't prayed that hard in a long time.  I just kept thinking, "I have all my sweet babies in the car and I have no brakes!  We're all going to die!"  (Yes, the dramatics kicked in)  Luckily and probably with divine intervention, I hit every green light on the way home.  I was very careful about accelerating and by the time I rolled into my driveway I was barely creeping.  Phew...  When Adam got home and took the tire off, this is what my rotor looked like.  Not good.

Rock painting for the garden.  Noah painted the A B C's.  Simon and Jett worked on painting bugs.  It ended up being a pretty fun afternoon activity.

Bathing Beauty Pond.  A great day with the Fuller's.  We are lovin' the sunshine.

The face Levi makes when the sun is in his eyes.  So funny!  He's growing up so fast.

~June - Grandma Connolly's visit

Grandma bailed us out one more year and watched the boys while I was at camp.  (The things we do to serve in the church.  Grandma flies thousands of miles so I can go to girls camp.)  And for some odd reason, happens every year, Adam was also working out of town again.  Poor Grandma didn't even get a break in the evenings or spend time with her own son.  The boys had fun with her though and hopefully she wasn't too worn out when she left.
Thanks again Grandma!

While she was in town we went on a picnic to Birch Lake.  She also brought some fun stuff for the boys to play with...magnets, table air hockey and tops.  I think they also went on daily walks, which the boys love.

~June - Girls Camp

Girls Camp was a blast, as always.  The camp theme was, "There's no place like home."  Each ward could choose a value color and scene from the Wizard of Oz.  Our ward was the Lollipop Guild and our color was orange.

The assistant camp directors.  They were fabulous and such great sports!  Plus, they really pulled their weight when they had to pick up slack at the last minute.  I hope they got extra blessings for their service.
Sister Lannet and Sister Passmore

These girls honestly had the best costumes at camp.  Some wards didn't dress up at all for "The walk down the yellow brick road." We looked awesome. The Lollipop Guild Rocks!!

The lake is always a favorite.

Sister Passmore pulled an awesome prank on me.  She moved my whole tent and hid it!  She had a good laugh watching my expression when I discovered it was missing.  She's so fun :)

A few of my old laurels were up at camp helping out.  These girls are 20 years old now.  :(  I miss them so much.  When I was called to be YW Pres I had 9 active Laurels.  They were awesome examples to the younger girls and have all grown into wonderful women.  I'm so glad they have been a part of my life.

These two became good friends at camp :)
"I don't know karate, but I know c-ra-zy!"
Every time I saw them together that quote came to mind! lol

Such a cute picture of Katelynd and Tabetha

I can't believe how fast time goes by.  This year was my 4th year at camp with these girls.  We have had some great times and some great learning experiences.  I love serving in the church and I love the young women of our ward.  I have also been blessed to see how much Heavenly Father loves them.  He is mindful of each one and so often I can see His hand in their lives.  It's pretty cool.
